When asked to create a poster and scene for a hypothetical animated series, I decided that it was a great opportunity to paint illustrations and then digitize them in photoshop to achieve an even more dramatic effect.

The Story:

Princess Annabelle was promised at birth to Prince James. However she has secretly fallen in love with the Fairy Queen Ella. If she is to reveal her truth to the King and Queen she risks losing everything including their love. Will true love conquer all?

Process:

Initial inspiration for the Prince came from my a photo of my son. With his permission I sketched a preliminary drawing of the Prince James character.
